Q. How do we dispose of the garbage?
A. There is a
recycling area in the entrance hall that has bins matching the
way the nearby
dump is sorted. You will need to take your garbage to the dump before you leave.
The days and time of operation are on the fridge, and the directions are in the
cottage manual. There is a card on the fridge that they (infrequently)
ask for at the dump (aka Transfer Station)

Q. Can we bring our pet?
A. Yes, your dog or cat is welcome, but please pick up after your pet and remove
the animal hair before you leave.

Q. Will linens/towels be provided?
A. Yes, but we ask that you launder them before you leave.

Q. Is the water safe to drink?
A. The water is treated with a 3-stage filtering system, including a UV filter and
water softener. We also provide a water cooler for your convenience.

Q. Is the lake water nice to swim in?
A. Yes, the water is lovely for swimming.

Q. Is there a shallow are for young children?
A. Yes, there is an area where young children can wade into the water.

Q. Is the water deep enough to dive in off the dock?
A. Yes, you can dive in off the end of the dock.

Q. Is there good fishing on Lake Manitouwabing?
A. Yes. Former guests have even had great luck fishing right off our dock.

Q. Should we bring our food up with us or buy it up there?
A. There are 3 supermarkets in Parry Sound, and Sobey’s is open 24 hours a day during
the summer months.

Q. Which are the best restaurants?
A.Some good restaurants are the Bay St. Café overlooking the Parry Sound dock, The
Log Cabin (Burtons), and The Inn at Manitou, located just down the road from our
cottage.
